Gary P. Stokan is CEO and president of Peach Bowl, Inc., a position he has held since 1998. During his tenure with the Peach Bowl, Stokan has led the Bowl’s strategic growth and ascension to the College Football Playoff and to its position as college football’s most charitable bowl game. Stokan is also credited with reshaping college football’s opening weekend with the creation of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game and with having the vision and leadership to relocate the College Football Hall of Fame to Atlanta.

In addition to his work with the Peach Bowl, Stokan also served as president of the Atlanta Sports Council from 1998-2009, where he led Atlanta’s efforts to brand the city as the “Sports Capital of the World”, drawing a range of world-class sporting events to metro Atlanta. Stokan’s leadership tenure at the Atlanta Sports Council created an economic impact of more than $2 billion and $75 million in direct government tax revenues for the city of Atlanta and the state of Georgia.

Stokan has been ranked by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of the 100 Most Influential Atlantans, a top 50 leader in Atlanta hospitality and was most recently named one of Atlanta’s Most Admired CEOs.
