Able started out in 1981 as a small chimney sweep business. The company quickly discovered that there was more to rooftops than chimneys. Success at determining the source of roof leaks for the occasional client led to more and more requests for the chimney sweep to tackle roofing projects. By 1985 the emphasis was less on chimneys and more on roofs. Able expanded their services to include residential, commercial, and industrial roofing, property management and multi-family services, plus window, siding and masonry installation.
